Full Description
A small group of structures south west of the country house called Boscombe Place is shown as 'Gas Works' on the OS 1st edn 25in map (1871) (1). It probably provided gas for the house. The site was subsequently redeveloped for housing (2) and now underlies the W side of Grovely Avenue, Boscombe.
