Full Description

The OS 1st edn 25in map (c 1870) (1) marks a building as a dispensary on a site shown as Madeira Vale evidently developed from rough heathland on what was then the edge of the built-up urban area of Bournemouth. The site had been redeveloped as terraced housing by the time of the OAS 2nd edn map (2).
