Summary

A lime kiln recorded as ‘limekiln’ on the second edition (1900-1902) Ordnance Survey map, it is not marked on the earlier, 1885, edition of the map. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who could find no trace of the kiln structure.
