Full Description
An embankment projecting about 150m from the E shore of the Blue Lagoon is shown on the OS 3rd edn 1:2500 map (1925) (1) as the site of an 'old tramway'. Nothing is shown at this location on the 2nd edn 25in map (1901) (2) and it seems probable that the feature formed part of a scheme to reclaim part of the tidal area N of Salterns Works (3).
