Full Description

A rectangular feature with an adjoining enclosure is shown on the OS 1st edn 25in map (1889-90) (1), approached by a track from the nearby farm. Later maps (2, 3, 4, 5) show a steep-sided hollow on the site, with small unidentified structures on the N side. It may have been a pond for watering animals but this is not certain from the map evidence.
