Full Description

The OS 1st edn 25in map (1890) (1) shows a post on the shore at Countess Point. It is aligned with a short tidal inlet of Ower Lake and may have been used to aid small boats navigate the inlet to a landing point. It was not shown on the OS 2nd edn 25in map (2).
