Site of a possible Bronze Age bowl barrow. Recorded by field investigators as an extant mound. Also visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs.

Full Description

Site of a possible Bronze Age bowl barrow, part of a larger linear barrow cemetery extending along the Dorset Ridgeway.

Probably one of the barrows recorded by the RCHM (site 452318) as a mound 3.6 metres diameter, 0.2 metres high {1}, although grid references for this record differ.

Also visible as an earthwork mound on aerial photographs {2}, measuring approximately 7 metres in diameter. This site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

Diam 3.6m and ht 0.2m. Located during field investigation. (3)
