Full Description

A block of land isolated within the River Frome by a channel on its N side is shown on the OS 1st edn 25in map (1) and marked as 'The Fishery'. The site lies adjacent to that of the medieval castle. The site has been identified with a fishery at Wareham documented in 1327 (2).
