Full Description
The place-name Water Point is recorded by the tithe apportionment (1) and on the OS 1st edn 25in (2) and subsequent maps. A spring is shown to the W of the Point, with a small stream reaching the shore just to the N. The place-name may indicate that this was a landing place for vessels replenishing water supplies.
