Full Description

An engineered trackway, incorporating cuttings and an embankment and / or bridge over an earlier hollow way, is shown on the OS 1st edn 25in map (1). It is likely to have been constructed to serve the Anvil Point lighthouse, opened in 1881 (MDO16814).
