Full Description

An earthwork mound with adjacent structures is shown on the 5th edn OS 1:2500 map (1959) (1) with similar mounds 225m NE and 230m W. Current OS mapping shows these as covered structures (2). Similar mounds are located to the E near Pit House and South Down Farm (MDO32397). These were probably protected control and monitoring buildings for the WWII radar station NE of Bran Point (MDO24569).
