Full Description

An embankment carrying a footpath across marshy ground is shown on the 1st edn OS 25in map (1) crossing part of Lodmoor. The Preston tithe map (2) shows 'water pipes' on the same alignmen, apparently feeding a leat linked to an ice house (MWX4280).
