Summary

A mound interpreted as a possible bowl barrow. In 1970 this monument was reported as being around 45 feet in diameter with a mound about a foot high; it was being ploughed at that time and has been since. Visible on aerial photographs taken in 1976 as a cropmark mound 25m in diameter. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

SY 66198978. Bowl barrow on a south-west slope. Diameter 45 feet, height 1 foot. Ploughed. (1,3)

SY 66158976. Bowl barrow in permanent pasture. Diameter 28.0m., height 1.2m. (maximum). No visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. (5)

Possible bowl, 45ft. In diam and 1ft. High, has been ploughed <2>.

Visible on aerial photographs <3> as a cropmark mound 25m in diameter. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.<7>
