Summary

Possible bowl barrow, ploughed almost flat. An outer ditch of 51m diameter, inner ditch and internal bank are all visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs.

Full Description

SY 65468978. Bowl barrow on a slight south slope. Ploughed almost flat. (1,3,4)

SY 65468980. Diameter approximately 30.0m., height up to 0.8m. No visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. (1)

Outer ditch of 51m diameter, inner ditch and internal bank are all visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (2,4). The site was digitally plotted as part of the South Dorset Ridgeway Project.
