Summary

Possible ditched bowl barrow roughly 23m in diameter, possibly forming a double barrow with an adjacent barrow, as both appear surrounded by same hour-glass shaped ditch. Ploughed almost flat. The site is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs and was digitally plotted as part of the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

Full Description

SY 65099000. A barrow, probably a ditched bowl, and possibly forming a double barrow with that described above. Both appear to be surrounded by the same hour-glass shaped ditch on vertical air photograph CPE/UK/1934: 5090. Ploughed almost flat. <1>

SY 65068999. A barrow, probably a ditched bowl, on a south-east slope. Ploughed almost flat. <3>

B. SY 65088999: diameter 12.0m., height 0.2m. Nothing survives of the surrounding ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>
