Full Description

Three or four small rectangular structures labelled 'Shooting Boxes' are shown adjacent to an earthwork ditch on the end of Shipmoor Point, overlooking the open water of West Fleet behind Chesil Bank (1). The ditch is extant. Two other shooting boxes are marked nearby within the West Fleet (MWX4363), suggesting that the area was used fairly intensively for waterfowling or sport shooting.
