A straight track approximately 200m long is marked as 'Rope Walk' on the OS 1st edn 25in map (1889) (1). No associated building is shown and the name may simply mark the site of an earlier rope walk or be an ironic reference to the straightness of the track. The track is named on current OS mapping as Rope Walk.
