Full Description
A large circular ring ditch , possibly a plough-levelled round barrow , clearly visible as a cropmark c56m in diameter on aerial photographs dated 2005. Although large, this is not outside the range of variability for Dorset round barrows. No evidence for mound or bank material could be discerned. Other cropmark anomalies are visible inside the ring ditch, but none of these can be confirmed as archaeological, and they instead resemble natural features seen extensively elsewhere in the same field.
The round barrow was digitally plotted from aerial photographs during the Dorset Stour NMP (1).
