Full Description
A post medieval chalk pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 and 2009, to the north west of Northground Dairy, Owermoigne. The quarry pit is sub oval with a bank of spoil lying to the north. It measures approximately 32 m by 10 m. (1-2) The pit is marked on the 1st edition OS map. (3) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
