Summary

A sub-square banked enclosure visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. It could be the site of a Bronze Age pond barrow or possibly an Iron Age square barrow and may form part of the wider group of round barrows running in an irregular east-west line on the crest of a ridge immediately south of the A35.

'E' - (118) - SY 64499031. Bowl (?) barrow, ploughed flat but visible on air photograph. <3>

Barrows 'B', 'D' and 'E' ploughed out. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>

A sub-square banked enclosure visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. It could be the site of a Bronze Age pond barrow or possibly an Iron Age square barrow. It may form part of the wider group of round barrows running in an irregular east-west line on the crest of a ridge immediately south of the A35. (Roman road RR 4f). <8-9>
