Full Description

A medieval or post medieval chalk pit is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of the 1940s immediately to the east of Hill Dairy, Owermoigne. The quarry pit is sub rectangular and measures approximately 80 m by 40 m. (1) The pit is marked on the 1st edition OS map. (2) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
