Full Description
A post medieval chalk pits is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s immediately to the south of East Farm, Owermoigne. The quarry pit is sub oval and measures approximately 60 m by 50 m. (1) The quarry pit is under tree cover on aerial photographs of 2009, but may still exist as an earthwork. (2) The pit is marked on the 1st edition OS map. (3) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
