Full Description
A post medieval quarry is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s and as cropmarks on photographs of 2002 on Moigns Down. The quarry is formed of two pits with banks of spoils around them. The features are visible over an area measuring approximately 160 m by 45 m. (1) The quarry is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 2002. (2) The quarry is marked on the 1st ed OS map. (3) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
