Five probable post medieval drains are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the east of South Down Farm, Chaldon Herring. The features are formed of linear ditches oriented north-south and measuring up to 33 m in length. (1) The trackways or drains are not visible on aerial photographs of 2009. (2) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
