Probable post medieval drainage or cultivation marks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the east of Chaldon Down. The earthworks consist of a block of east-west oriented ridges, visible over an area measuring approximately 175 m by 115 m. (1) The ridges are still partially visible on aerial photographs of 2009. (2) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
