Probable post medieval cultivation ridges are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s in the southern area of Chaldon Herring. The earthworks are formed of closely spaced linear banks measuring up to 75 m in length. (1) The ridges are not visible on aerial photographs of 2009. (2) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
