A medieval or post medieval hollow way is visible as an cropmark on aerial photographs of 2005 to the south east of West Chaldon, Chaldon Herring. The hollow way is formed of a linear bank oriented north-south and measuring 210 m in length and up to 21 m in width. The hollow way may have been associated with medieval settlement around West Chaldon. (1) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
