Full Description

A trackway or field boundary of possible post medieval date is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery to the west of Winfrith Newburgh. The boundary or trackway is bisected by the parish boundary between Winfrith Newburgh and Chaldon Herring. The boundary is formed of a linear bank measuring up to 6 m in width and extending from east to west for a distance of approximately 645 m. (1) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
