Two adjacent blocks of medieval or post medieval ridge and furrow are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of the 2008 to the north of Chaldon Herring. The ridges are oriented north-south and the blocks are visible over an area measuring approximately 660 m by 180 m. (1) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
