A post medieval chalk pit is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of the 1970s to the south east of Chideock Farm, Chaldon Herring. The pit is sub-circular and measures approximately 12 m in diameter. (1) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
