Full Description
A group of post medieval chalk pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s at Brimstone Bottom, Chaldon Herring. The pits measure between 8 m in diameter and 9 m by 20 m and are visible over an area measuring approximately 215 m by 36 m. (1) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
