A post medieval or modern chalk pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the south east of Upton, Osmington. The pit measures approximately 16 m by 11 m. (1) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
