Three post medieval chalk pits are visible on aerial photographs as earthworks to the north east of Ringstead, Owermoigne. The pits measure between 60 m by 30 m and 19 m by 12 m. (1-2) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
