Full Description

A block of medieval or post medieval ridge and furrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s at Mount Skippet, to the south of Crossways. A field boundary or plough headland lies to the north of the ridge and furrow. The ridges are oriented south west-north east and they are visible over an area measuring approximately 80 m by 75 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
