Monument record MDO3202 - Bowl barrow in the Ashton group, Winterborne St Martin

Bowl, 85ft. in diam and 10ft. high. Fir covered. (RCHM). Visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs {1}. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

Four barrows in a west north west-east south east line above the 400 ft contour. All have been ploughed. 'C' Bowl (SY 66088717) 40 yards east south east of 'B'. Diameter 85 ft., Ht 10 ft. Fir covered. <1> <3>

'C' SY 66088717. Bowl barrow in dense fir thicket. Diameter 32.0m,height 3.0m. No visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <4>
