Full Description

A block of medieval or post medieval ridge and furrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north east of Owermoigne. The ridges are oriented south west-north east and they are visible over an area measuring approximately 250 m by 160 m. (1) The ridge and furrow underlies an area of post medieval drainage (see MDO31996) and is presumably earlier in date. This site was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
