Full Description

Possible post medieval field boundaries or land improvement works are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the south of Galton. The earthworks consist of east-west oriented parallel linear banks and ditches, with a ditch continuing as a bank lying perpendicular to their western end. They are visible over an area measuring approximately 90 m by 75 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
