A wide linear bank is visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1970 to the west of Newlands Farm (1). It is potentially a large spoilheap associated with post medieval chalk quarrying. The site has since been plough-levelled and no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery. It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
