A small round hollow is visible as a low earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the northeast of Claypits Farm. It is considered likely to be the site of a post medieval extractive pit. The site has since been plough-levelled and is no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery. It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
