The sites of two post medieval chalk pits are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1970 to the west of Belhuish Farm (1). The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. The features are no longer visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
