TThe probable site of a post medieval chalk pit is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (1). A round feature is marked at this location on the OS 1st Edition Map but not annotated. The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. The feature has been plough-levelled and is no longer visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery
