TAn 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked at this location on the OS 1st Edition Map. It is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and 70 (1-2). The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. The feature is still visible as a slight earthwork on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
