A Bronze Age bowl barrow, part of a linear barrow cemetery comprising bowl barrows, a pond barrow, and a quadruple bell barrow (MDO3183-91).

In 1980, the Ordnance Survey <3> described it as a tree-covered bowl barrow in a small copse, with a mound 37 metres in diameter and 4.4 metres high. Grinsell reported a ditch surrounding the barrow, though the Ordnance Survey could see no surface trace of a ditch. RCHME recorded an excavation trench across the centre of the mound. However, there appears to be no record of this excavation.

In addition, this site is visible as a cropmarked circular mound on aerial photographs {4-8}, measuring approximately 19 metres in diameter. Traces of a posssible surrounding outer bank and ditch are also visible, approximately 41 metres in diameter and cut to the north by a later field boundary. This site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
