Summary

What appear to be two conjoined ditched enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the south of Belhuish Farm. They appear to be later prehistoric in date although they may equally be modern agricultural marks.

Full Description

What appear to be two conjoined ditched enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the south of Belhuish Farm (1). They appear to be later prehistoric settlement enclosures or hut circles between 14-26m across although they may equally be the result of modern agricultural activity. The site lies in close proximity to the celtic field systems described in MDO8271-3 and MDO13880, it was digitially plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
