Full Description
Parallel bank and ditched linears are visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the south of Drove Dairy, Winfrith Newburgh (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of medieval strip field/ridge and furrow cultivation. They were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project and are no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery.
