Full Description
A probable ancillary site associated with the Second World War airfield of RAF Warmwell (see MDO31842) is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of the 1940s on Skippet Heath to the south east of the airfield. The site consists of six possible air raid shelters with other buildings around them. (1) The site is under tree cover on the most recent comprehensive aerial photography available to the project (2), but no trace of the site could be seen on lidar imagery. (3) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
