Full Description

An ancillary site associated with the Second World War airfield of RAF Warmwell (see MDO31842) is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of the 1940s immediately to the north of the airfield. The site consists of several groups of buildings and five possible weapons pits, visible over an area measuring 445 m by 485 m. The site is of uncertain function, but appears to be associated with the airfield. (1-6) The site is now farmland. (7) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
