Full Description
Two medieval or post medieval sand and gravel pits are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of 1969 to the east of Woodsford Road, Crossways. The site of the pits is now partially built over. The pits measured between approximately 63 m by 50 m and 80 m by 66 m. (1) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
