An extractive pit which may be medieval or post medieval in date is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 1995 to the north of Wareham Road, Owermoigne. The quarry is located on chalk. It appears to have been sub-circular in shape but has been cut by the line of Wareham Road. (1-2) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
