An extractive pit which may be later post medieval to modern in date is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery to the north of Warmwell Cross. The quarry is located on chalk. It is sub-circular in shape and measures approximately 50 m in diameter. (1) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
